Apparantley its pretty common so ive been told with owd age, I was diagnosed with last December but cos of this virus ive been put on hold like many others . but ive been retested and I qualify for free hearing aids , but before the hearing aid centre will fit em, she told me I need my ears syringing, go your doctors get em done the come back and they will sort me out, called at doctors sorry they say cos of the virus weve put syringing on hold, called back at the hearing centre  that's ok sir we will do em for you £55 ive got a 4 0clock appointment today

That’s a bit steep, they would probably clear there selves if you put a couple of drops of Luke warm olive oil in each ear twice a day for 7 days. Have they not told you to do that to soften any wax for syringing anyway. If not olive oil some sort of ear drops

I would say half the country are now using the virus has an excuse to not work,well the rest of us have to work, had a whole week of excuses not permitted to do this or the other because of covid piss takers

been using olive oil for weeks lads, ive just got back having my ears syringed and I don't feel any better I have yo go have hearing aids fitted next Saturday morning

it isnt so much about the hearing, i just feel dizzy, i thought perhaps the syringing would do the trick , but i feel no different, i told the nurse who syringed my ears and she said lets see how you go on next week when u come in to have your aids fitted

That’s sounds like an ear infection to me if you are feeling dizzy, did you tell that to the Dr ?

ive had tests up at the specialist hearing aid centre they tested me and the result was conductive ear loss and that i need hearing aids but before the centre would fit them i needed to have em syringed but with the virus i was put on hold, had them syringed this afternoon and to go back next saturday to have hearing aids fitted

Just walk out without paying, if anyone says anything tell them you were def at the time of the consultation and thought it was free

I'm told I need hearing aids also, and the cost??? 2k with a grant..... Hell no, but the tinnitus is a balls to live with

Jigsaw, I was interested in what you are saying, so I just put mine in. Sounds were certainly then clattering about me. But, the tinnitus? Can't genuinely say I could hear a lot of difference. Bit more like tinnitus, over laid by someone putting a cup down with a mighty crash.

I've just been suffering with what could be tinnitus. For a few weeks now I've been hearing my heartbeat whooshing away in my ear. 

Thankfully it has now eased off and just about gone.
