Just got back from the fishing comp and a bit knackered but I know there would be a bit of Fungi about after this drop of rain the last week. So went for a short mooch , good job would have missed the

I grew this reishi on wood chip from my hazel coppice

There you go Micky. They look a lot browner on top when they are not wet or if you let them dry out a bit they don'e half hold water.

I came across these in a customer's garden while mole trapping. I hoped that they may be chanterelles but I'm not sure. Last time I picked some chanterelles they turned out to be false chanterelles and I can't now find my wild food book!

Think the underside shot of the gills is the giveaway Arry be ya man

Not Chanterelles Nicepic think they are one of the Waxcaps mate.

Yea mate if there are not bitter then I reckon you have three Ceps. That one you cut is prime no maggots, well done. Enjoy or dry them even stronger if you dry them.
