Lures,flies,floats and anything else your making for fishing

Just finished these two  jerk baits...the hook eyes and nose eye are one single piece of stainless wire the runs right through the bait

Messing about making some traditional vintage style floats . Dyed peacock primaries,crow quills, burdock,bone and elder pith. Nothing of the finish displayed by the previous tackle on the thread bit they should work.

Obviously l had too much time on my hands the evening l made this one.

Bump up this thread..... I was kindly sent some spoons from L. C to feild test and he wouldn't take a penny from me for them... just fixed them up with some hooks and wire traces, got to say I'm itching to get out in the morning and give them a tryespecially interested in the Toby style ones he sent, they are extremely well made. Hopefully I can bank a few different species, gonna try the river, canal and a lake

I fish the spoons with the narrow bit to to top Daniel, hook on the wide end. you never know they may fish well that way round

Well I spent most of the day spinning for pike had a good few follows and bumped off 2 fish, down Cardiff baythere's always next time... On a brighter note my mate caught his first River Taff barbel.... 14lb 12 ozs. Well done Mike lad, you have put in enough time, buzzing for him

Picked up a load of those co2 things the kids sniff, drilled out and filled with lead they come out at just over 4oz.Also had some old knives and spoons so made a few lures for when the Mackerel come in.The poppers are old paintbrush handles.

I got some pirks and a few weights to make before the spring warmth gets me out on the boat and this has given me some ideas, nice one chap..
