BC next time you strip it back (if you do)

little tip cold water in a cup then put two or three spoon fulls of coffee in

and you will need an art brush

see the filler that is put in at the factory apply the coffee mixture on to the filler before you oil it

until you get it to the darkness you want this will make it look like a knot in the wood and hides the filler

Now that is some top quality work there jimmy, I tried doing one myself couple of years ago by no means a simply task and I made a right mess of it to be honest.
