I see the banks are playing God on who fits the criteria for being eligible for loans even knocking some back for going on to there over draft  you lads have said the knock on effect when this is over

Fcuk discustin  hope when this is over government tax the shit out of them, piss taking players could pay the wages of the staff out of their wages.

Why are the papers not making a song and dance about the banks using it as an opportunity to once again f**k people in the arse. Them c**ts was bailed out in 2008, didn’t change their ways at all

Some clubs are going to use the government scheme to pay non-playing staff while retaining players on full wages. Sound reasonable?

On the face of it, it does. Does it pass scrutiny?

In the US the stimulus bill was rushed through and passed very quickly with little of the traditional oversight. The powers have since ruled that the scrutiny insisted against corporations will now not be looked at. Essentially the government have given several corporations a blank cheque to spend as they please with the oversight now removed.

Using it to pay non-playing wages is one thing, but surely it’s hard to justify still retaining players on full wages?

I would imagine under growing public scrutiny somebody will do the right thing....

Football , the whole game is out of touch with reality. It's another aspect of our society I'm not too keen on I don't see the lower level stuff but imagine that does a lot of good shame people feel they have to support a super club instead of a local o e but I don't follow the sport so not for me to say really, it's gone the way of America all about dollar and merchandise.....

I used to be one of those plastic Man U fans from Essex. From school well into my 20s I considered myself a real a fan......I could even sound quite convincing at times. I loved it, but the money side of it fcuked it for me & I just couldn’t keep up the charade anymore...?

It’s absolutely reasonable, they pay their corporation tax like any other company, their staff pay their income tax and NI......why shouldn’t they avail of something just like any other company ?

It’s just like a bricky claiming the stay at home sick pay at the moment, why shouldn’t he?

Its not like it’s a hand out is it, it’s only giving back a fraction of what they have nicked off people in the first place.

Surely a footballer is worth 70k plus a week compared to a frontline nurse earning half that in a year.

And the stupid fecking idiots who pay to watch the fecking clowns should hang there heads in shame.

What a fecking joke...

Or wait a minute it's our team etc.

Feck off you stupid cnuts

And to add.

A low paid factory worker earns

10k a year.

Yet a footballer earns that in 1 day.

Some earn 3x that

Now that ain't fecking right.

And I'm bombarded with adverts asking for £2 To save the cats or donkeys.

Feck off you stupid feckers.

I think it more the fact they are making staff redundant rather than furloughing them and keeping them on the books, Balfour's have also done it loads of companies have got rid of folk in their time of need like wetherspoons and many others.....

How much should you earn for kicking a football about??

Fecking penny's in my eyes.

You're right mate but the whole bailout concept doesn't sit well with me at all. I believe corporation tax is bollocks. It's shouldn't be levied on business. Not that any of them pay it anyway as they pay large sums of money to people for the sole purpose of moving their money away from where it can be touched.

On the flip side of that argument I also believe that these corporations should be 100% accountable to the free market in the sense that as they don't pay into this system they shouldn't be the primary beneficiaries of the bailouts. Whether this applies to the Premier League I don't know but more aimed at banks, vehicle manufacturers, and airlines, in this context.

The price of doing business should be in a quality product and using your acquired wealth to adjust that business model. I have no issue with successful companies making billions but I do when it goes tango uniform and they're the first in line for a taxpayer funded handout.

Case in point today. Jeff Bezos is the CEO of Amazon. Arguably the richest bloke in the world and the head of a multi-billion dollar corporation. He's asking for voluntary donations from members of the public to support his staff should they be effected by this pandemic! You should rise and fall on your own reconnaissance in these cases. If you can't save for a rainy day, while pocketing billions along the way, you should be subject to market.

I hope there is a consequence for these large corporations......

Branson is another one, sent his staff home for 8 weeks without pay and is expecting the Government to bail his companys out with money no doubt from the British Tax Payer but he is a tax exile himself !! GTF All these corporations at it want boycotting once this virus is all cleared up .

Branson is another one of Epsteins Billionaire croneys. Bernie Sanders explained it as Corporate Socialism where by money is taken from the poor to bailout Corporations of the “Elites”. It all goes back to the few Governing the many and looking after themselves whilst looking down there noses at the rest of us . jmo

It’s all relative mate, the bloke on 10k a year won’t pay a bean and the footballer on 10k a day with pay 5k in tax !!......to be honest imho everyone should pay 5% no matter what they earn and that’s fair but that’s a whole other argument

So £5k is ok then.for 1 days worth of running around kicking a football.

Wilf it's a fecking joke mate.

And the stupid cnuts standing in the stadium shouting for there team.

Have kids at home living in poverty.

A fool and there money are easily parted mate.
