Svc & fac renewal in the covid 19 time

Before I  ring the department or feo,  Anyone got an application in or soon due.  Whats happening ?

My renewal application been in since February......ive had the request from doctors to pay the fee for them to release medical information about 3 weeks ago so mines in the process I take it........not heard anything else. But my shotgun and firearms expire end of this month, so we'll see what happens next....

There was a paragraph on my application forms saying that I may not require a visit of the feo  depending on the application, I'm assuming that meant as long as there were no changes or amendments to be made......

I spoke to our FEO on Monday as my wife's renewal is in for both her certificates  and he said they are going to do them over the phone for now

Mate of mine had a form to sign regards security etc.

Ask for a temp certificate if near the end date. That usually works.

They were handing out S7s like confetti last time  that they couldn't cope.  Some people had a series of them that meant that they could possess the guns and any ammo BUT you couldn't transport them or use them AND you couldn't buy any ammo or expanding tips. The cert of my rifle club was on application and S7 for more than a year.  This meant that the club couldn't buy ammo for sale to members and therefore club funds were reduced because of loss of profit from these sales.  The club made representation the department who basically replied ...  Oh dear, how sad,  never mind !!!  AND  all of your members have fac's so they will have to go and buy their own supplies. But that didnt account for some that shoot club guns or who are probationary members.  S7s ain't the way to go.  They've taken the money and you should have the full rights to a full cert but basic as usual did sweet FA about it.  They should have made some sort of challenge.  If kiwis can do it why can't they.  Still I  suppose that they were busy doing something else.

Playing about with themselves most likely or checking out which new trinket to put on the want list.

I thought Swedish gun regulations was bad but now then i look at British rules i think we are lucky. I bought my first hunting rifle and got a licens/permit for it  27 y ago and after that I dont have to do anything unless iam suspected for a crime or a doctor tells the police iam not recomended to own a weapon. My handgun licenses have to be renewed every 5 years.

Yes in the UK you are born a criminal and they keep you on a tight leash so they can catch you easy. The best part is we pay their wages while we are non criminals at work!

Is that the best that's available. ?  What a load of meally mouthed bollocks.  That is about how effective basic are.  All that is, is just like a  mouthpiece of some small local newspaper.   As soon as I  hear or read about "we are calling for"  it means that we have no influence at all. Total useless nonsense.  It's not a representative of the shooting comunkty at all.  It's just a sponging leach on the shooting comunity. Takes your money and does nothing. Basically directing  anyone to the local plod page. They accept anything that plod does without question. And the sheep follow meakly to slaughter.

It seems like a sensible approach if your doctor is going to report anything dangerously adverse. They are supposed to do that here, so it kind of makes you wonder why you need a renewal process when your doctor is looking after you anyway, especially as access to specialists in the NHS such as Psychiatrists are by GP referral only.

But every time I go to se a doctor about dragging my arse along the ground or the dry skin on my toe I  see a different one. Although I am allocated to a doctor, if he was asked about me he would probably say "WHO, Never heard of the blighter".!

This is where our so called voices of the shooting community are deafeningly silent.  The all maintain that they are communicating at the highest level but if that's the case the plod is on remote control and not listening or not responding.   The Fox is in charge of the chicken house.  And guess who the chickens are.!  Still I'm sure that there are a lot of poorer and slower chickens than I,  so it means that there will be more shooting permissions going begging .  AND ultimately plod will have eaten himself out of house and home.  No shooters = no need for feo's

I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking not just the UK but the whole world is doomed and slowly but most definitely going down the plug hole. I assume that is what I hear in your voice?

You dont need a doctors permission to own a firearm in Sweden, handgun licence renewal are done by the Police. But a doctor can recomend your firearm licence and/or drivers licence should be taken by the Police. For example after an atempted suiside.

 

A hunter was suspected for shooting a wolf illegal. The Police took him in to jail from his work. The night after they sent a SWAT team in full gear to his house 03-04am  then his wife and children were sleeping, the wife and children didn`t have access to his rifles as they are stored in a safety locker according to law (with the hunter still in jail).

That's a bit naughty. !  03.04 !! Why does plod act like a pack of Muppets. How is it nessessary to act like that. I bet that it was used as a training exercise. The poor woman and kids. Probably came in smashing the door in, shouting and hollering like a pack of cowboys.  Down The road from me The other year a woman had an abusive boyfriend get into her house.  The neighbour rang plod upon hearing shouting and screaming.  Three quarters of an hour later a couple of spotty schoolboys turned up and firstly sat out in the road in their (our) car.  Eventually they stood out in the road in the drizzle for half an hour.  Meanwhile the boyfriend was hanging out of an upstairs window threatening the woman, her kids, himself,,,, he was going to cut his throat!  (Pity he didn't )  after a while another plodmobile turned up and between them all (another hour) they got him to come to the door and give up!! they cuffed him in the front garden.  AND people  worry about plod coming out across fields if they're pigeon decoying.  They might turn out if there was a burger or a bit of walnut cake on offer.

I might get a rise out of basic or plod one day, but probably not two day.
