Beginning to push the Mighty HW 80 MK1

Recommended Posts

Finally, just finally got a lull in the winds so out came the newly acquired HW eighty MK1 .22 CAL.

A 38 yd range was set up and I tweaked her zero a tad from right to left, - two singular clicks got her singing, she was hitting everything after the first three shots.

Top spinner is 25 mm, 2nd is 12mm, 3rd is 7mm, the Falcon Acc` Plus were hammering those spinners big time.

All the red bulls are under 12mm, centre red bull looks to be 12mm.

It’s a nice piece Mark?. You could tune it to over 20ft lbs and then you’d have a proper gun instead of making do with those pea shooters that you normally use ???

Yeah, I know buddy and what a spring rifle that would be.

Simon, ( Pianoman) has an F.A.C.  classic HW eighty in .22 and swears by it, he's already mentioned this to me. :good:

Only joking about the sub 12’s Mark, but I know the 80’s were designed to run a fair bit higher and should tune nicely at those higher power levels, should you so desire ?
