Yeah, I been caravan shopping as a kid, the old man just picked one he liked at the showroom and then you called back later, hitched it up and off you went……it was like late shopping except with no shop assistants and the store wasn’t open ! Lol ?

My old man shopped at the same place. Used to buy boats and horse boxes and trailers and anything that was on offer. He was a real bargain hunter.?

Watched the 1st three episodes of Pam and Tommy last night , i found it a lot like “I , Tonya “ ( another excellent film ) , it’s annoying a bit at first as you will all know people didn’t talk like that  in the 90s , there’s a bit where they meet in a club that you will know what I mean , but it’s really funny , scuzzy , and isn’t really about them all the time .

soundtrack is excellent as well

Its like I Tonya crossed with Dirt... decent I reckon, I'm not sure Pammy or Tommy will like how they are portrayed though, true or not.

I'm not sure I blame the girls, I get they were lured/seduced by the obvious wealth, but he wasn't some old fat bald bloke was he... I guess when your whipped off on a private jet for the first date you may well get your head turned!! lol

Watched a film called “The Nightingale “ last night.

Warning now, it’s f***ing brutal and I mean brutal lads, some scenes a very difficult to watch but it’s not for the sake of gratuitous thrills…..it genuinely fits with the story.

However, it is one of them that you could easily switch off because it’s too much.

You have been warned !

My Son.

Amazon Prime. Courtesy of Jigs, above. Felt it shied away from its own message, in honesty.

The Nightingale.

Courtesy of Wilf, above. Flix. Seen it before. But, so long I'd forgotten. Talking of long? Two hours plus ... Brutal? By Irish film standards, maybe.

Actually reminded me of The Proposition. Ray Winstone in a 2005 film by Nick Cave. What's not to like? :)

I lived in caravans when I was little, we still had our house in London but we had 5 acres with an orchard in Kent where we had our caravans, that was the most magical time of my life down there.

Free as a bird, school was something you just did now and again and you spent your days out with the old man.

Theres all sorts of laws and hassle now that would stop a man living that way and I feel very lucky to have had it.

Agreed and in my case it was with my grandad bless him. Missed so much school it was unreal months at a time. Got so far behind it was pointless. Head master sat me in the office with him one day but eventually he cracked and had to go for a leak. You won't go any where will you. Oh no sir. Haha hour later after a cross country trek to stay off the roads I was out with the terrier ?

The Sopranos season 6

The Sopranos being 1 of the best TV series ever. I fell in love with it 1st series (season) and managed to watch most of it when broadcast on Channel 4. Subsequent series caught the odd episode then bought them on VHS. Series 6 I made the decision to not even try and catch it on TV and just enjoy it all when it became available on VHS or by that time DVD. But never did.

Bought season 6 last weekend on Amazon, watched episodes 1 & 2 and loved it. Now the weekend is here I'm planning to carry on. Then something dawned on me.

I have many unseen episodes, to me, of the Sopranos. Once I watch them then that's it. No more. Even if they make anymore James Gandolfini is no longer with us and so would not be the same. If they ever do make more then Meadow should be the 1 who becomes head of the "family", it's happened in real life apparently. A sweet pretty girl but has shown subtle signs of sociopathic mafia like tendencies.

But a bit reluctant to watch it all as once I have then there is no more. I think the term these days is "1st world problems".

Pal of ours wrote the Opening track for that series.... woke up one morning got myself a gun ........rip jB
