I'm not convinced  lockdown is going to work at this stage....we either push through and grow herd immunity or we get a vaccine. ..I hope its the latter because the first has a heavy price attached

Woman on t.v. jist said there's different forms of it (strains) and 3 weeks intensive care for the worst strain.

If that's the case and people can get thay intensive care.there will be civil unrest.

1 thing I would say is that all the healthcare workers and nhs staff who are stepping upto the plate.should have there wages upped big time after this.

They are the real heroes in all this.

I take my hat off to them all..

I can only assume that they don’t know how seriously it will effect different people and they are trying to keep as much capacity in the health services as possible.....hence, stay out the way and try not to even get it.

It’s going to be a time for the whole world to re-evaluate what matters, all the things we thought were really important we will realise mean nothing.

Its been coming.......and here it is.

I think the idea of lockdown isn't to rid us of it but just to slow it down to give the relevant departments chance  to cope .

And yet they nipped Ebola in the bud.

Yet this virus is around the whole world double quick ?

I hope China haven't released this from a lab.

As ww3 will be on the horizon..

Ok there are league tables like above but there is no mention of russia, or any country in africa, a lot of other countries like say vietnam or Mexico.  Anther thing is not a peep about all of these refugee camps. Do they live in such remoteness or such shite conditions that their imune systems are peaked out ?  I would have thought that if it got into a refugee camp with about 60,000 people rammed into close proximity that the cull rate would be massive.  If we aint got enough equipment they got no chance.  But not a word.? It has ben very quiet on the roads today. And I've hardly noticed a car going past on the main road on the cctv.  Sitting here tonight, watching the tv and reading through posts on here , discussing it with the Mrs,  It feels a bit like what mother said it felt like back when ww2 was declared by chamberlins statement about "Therefore we are at war".!  It's the. ...  "where the f**k is this going and which way are we headed".  We saw this coming and we are well prepared in everything that we can think of.  If you've got money it helps but if it is true that the population is a couple of paychecks away from skid row there will be an awful amount of the population that are worried sick and thinking the same things. No one is an island.  Last week the budget issued a lot of promises about funds for this and that, so where is all this money coming from.  Every country is chucking billions in the pot to hold it up so is everyone just printing money off of a toilet roll.?

I think people need to check their hysteria levels and have a bit of faith. Theres been a lot of disaster porn recently and it seems lots of people are praying for a bit of unrest. It could be a good thing as it might make people value real things more, like growing some of their own food and looking after their and their families health. This can definitely be controlled with these measures but it will take a couple weeks to see the effect due to the incubation period and a vaccine is probably already well on the way in multiple countries ready for testing.

Imagine the cull rate in certain sections of the population that don't /wont go to a doctor.   Most people will get through but if you've got pneumonia or similar it will reap them.

To be honest if I had a load of food hoarded and a desperate family with kids came begging  theres no way I could not give them some. Obviously it's different story if it's a mob of asians or whatever but I cant honestly see it getting any where near civil unrest.
