Trouble is, they are like a tank and will just destroy a fence so they can get down by the house

What's the meat like on them, is the Tamworth not a lean pig, in regards to fat, that what the x is for I take it It was just the standard table pigs we kept, bar one saddle back. I lost a load of sheep to Fluke the other year, we suffer bad with fluke here in the west of Ireland it seems. I try and keep creatures that don’t require loads of medication because ultimately, I have to eat it. 4

They don't seem that bad here and a hardy heard, I don't want to temp fate though, the alpine x do well, but the Boer are a good breed

Atb j It’s lovely mate, I always have a good bit of fat on my pork because the fats the flavour. Meat is slightly darker than factory pork. They have a good coat too because they live out most of the year.
Gav 1,708
I've only looked at slow growers an old breed pigs, but they're expensive and intensive, don't know if it's worth it, may take the plunge and try one day, but set in my ways what I like.

We had a small piggery, a small shed which into a small field. Easier to handle. I would do things differently now if I had them again though. Atb j
