The old paratrooper brings back some memories. That’s the rifle I always wanted as a kid. Some friends had them, don’t think they were very powerful though? They just looked the b0//0ck5 at the time?

This is how i got it along with the other two

You should have had a gun shop Jimmy.  Really not a good idea to think how much money we have all spent in the rfd over the years, in fact I don't want to think about it mate.

You will be adding another photo to this lot before too long Jimmy of that I am sure.

You've had more guns than I have had Jimmy. I used every gun of mine for years and moved on to something else so, my shooting has cost me a great deal less than it has for you.

In my entire lifetime I have owned...

1950s WEBLEY JUNIOR SPRING RIFLE ..22

ASI SNIPER .177 (Still own it...at my Mum's)

BSA METEOR.177

BSA GOLDSTAR .22

WEBLEY OSPREY .22

FEINWERKBAU SPORT .22

WEIHRAUCH HW80 .22

WEIHRAUCH HW80 .22 FAC (Still own it).

AIR ARMS TX200 .22

AIR ARMS TX200HC .177

WEIHRAUCH HW77.22 (Still own it)

WEIHRAUCH HW97 .177 (Mark now has it)

DAYSTATE HUNTSMAN CLASSIC. 177

DAYSTATE HUNTSMAN REGAL.177 (Still own it).

DIANA MAUSER K98 .177 (Still own it)

WEBLEY FX2000. 22 (currently own it)

WEBLEY AXSOR .22 (currently own it)

17 rifles over 62 years. More than some. Not as many as others. Spent enough on em I know that.

All the best.

Expensive habit init. They don’t tell ya that when ya dad buys ya first one for 30 quid as a 10 year old. ”Son. Enjoy it kid. But this might start a 1000 pound a year habit, at least, when your older....”

Looking back. Another one ?

Init though. When you consider pellets, targets, new bits and bobs. Not to mention fuel getting to a from the club or perm. BASC insurance. Scopes. Spinners. Gun maintained stuff. The odd new rifle that you know you don’t need but just want.

Jess: “you on that f****n gunstar again?!”

Me: “No babe. Looking at holidays for us...” ?

Me and vislauk went to the shooting range a few years back and on the way we counted up what the cost of the 5 or 6 rifles and the gear on them

rifles

scopes

mounts

mods

belts

bags

it came to over £5000

we just looked at each other

and we gave up fishing because it was costing us to much lol

I`ll flip the coin the other way if you will allow.

Yes, I too have owned many of the rifles already mentioned and spent the money we have all spent but just look at the sheer freedom of life we are all still living because of shooting.

All that stress, anxiety and sh%t that modern living brings, my hunting life wraps me into natures arms and takes me away from all that, - seriously.

The thousands of hours I put into training my gun dog Kaiser, I just love it.

So after putting my poetry book down, which of those fecking rifles would I keep , in no particular order.

HW 100 ( Iin any format), HW 77, HW 97K, HW80,TX 200, Pro Sport, FWB Sport ( still own all of them) :good:

The first I`d get rid of ? - my shotguns.

                             atb. Mark.
