Surely breeding in some beagle to the plummers will do no harm to the breeds hunting? We’ve only beagles and foxhounds so I can’t comment on how good they’d be but I have seen some good teagles working, their good and direct in tight cover.

Plummer used beagle outcrosses to create the breed.
