i read this, thats not good IMHO

According to the Restricted Firearms and Ammunition Order 2008, firearms prohibited in Ireland are: automatic firearms and their ammunition. Restricted firearms include military-style semi-automatic firearms, semi-automatic firearms which resemble automatic firearms, shotguns with a magazine capacity of more than three cartridges, long guns over .308 (7.62mm) caliber, and rimfire rifles holding more than 10 rounds.

The guards were spot on with me when I bought my guns over.

The only differences between Ireland and the UK for fire arms is that:

You have to have a permit for each weapon instead of being able to hold multiple shotguns on one permit.

Its a lot more of a palava to get an FAC because you need a lot more paperwork.

But, attitudes are generally laid back and most things are an easy, if a bit long winded, process.

I sold my rifle in the UK before I moved and I have not bothered to get another because I dont need it and can’t be arsed with the rigmarole of getting one.

If you move over here you won't have any use for semi auto guns, the only thing you might use it on is a flock of seagulls, we've nothing else I can think of that it might be handy for
