Stoney100 1,179
Looking at getting a newer small van next year and leaning towards a caddy......has anyone on here had one? Any pros and cons if so? also has anyone had an ex British Gas one and if so are they well looked after? TIA Edited November 28, 2019 by Stoney100

dytkos 17,536
Had one on hire at work recently, controls all seem in the wrong place and all curved surfaces, nowhere to put a brew! Ran well and good on juice, 66 plate. Cheers, D.

Greyman 25,237
Anything new is just a lucky dip mate, they all use each other’s cheap substandard parts, and it’s just luck if you get a good one or a shite one, my advice would be find someone who works for VW and pay them a couple of quid to go with you and take a VW laptop to plug into the van you are looking at, it will show you every fault or problem it’s had from new and if it’s been a lemon walk away

Ive got an old one and not massively chuffed with it but the Partners are the best of a bad bunch. Cheers, D.

Greyman 25,237
Best small vans I,ve ever owned were Morris minors and early escorts mk1/2 worst one I ever owned was a Nissan cubistar which was just a rebadged lump of french shite, spent more time in a garage eating money than out earning it, was actually chuffed to f**k when some dodery old couple came round the corner and took all the side out of it

I went to look at one the other day......low mileage, right price etc but that stupid L shaped handbrake literally makes it impossible to get your cup out the small hole that’s there for it! I must drink 12 cups a day while out working so it’s essential I have somewhere to put them lol
