Sometimes it takes the slightest thing to set a dog off and attack it's kennel mate. Better safe than sorry 4 Quote Link to post

Saltmoon 2,208
I've had 2 males in together before they was separate litters both same age got to year and a half old and all hell would brake loose over nothing. I ended up getting one of them the chop and then it all stopped but wouldn't advise it myself I'd never do it again. But then I wouldn't kennel again mines in the house with me 2 Quote Link to post

Dinosaurs 2,107
Ive got my three Lurchers kennelled together never had a problem they all got big beds & spare bed. They have access to another kennel with 3 beds in it but very rarely use it. Think it really depends on there temperament. Atb 1 Quote Link to post

sandymere 8,263
Depends on the dogs, some do better with company, others will end up dead. 8 Quote Link to post
dogmad riley 1,347
Only takes the slightest thing for it to kick off especially if they both game types and if nobody is home and they try to kill each other. I wouldnt risk it 4 Quote Link to post
Gilbey 1,465
Don't kennel mine, but certain dogs and bitches need space and watched at times Quote Link to post
Daniel cain 46,086
Kennel them together when they are young.... When the work starts they have their own Kennel and run.... That way I can sleep at night 3 Quote Link to post
poxon 5,766
My old bitchs dam an pied bitches gran dam ended up dead due to a kennel fight the dogs had always been kenneled together with no previous I mean dogs that have always been kenneled together anything can set a kennel fight off any think from a simple laying in the wrong bed or touching a resting dog walking past to go to a bed or a simple challenge for position or status in the little pack I know people like to compare there dogs to wolves I like to think I’d never have any problems kenneling 2 bitches it’d also save me a lot of money as well but it’s just masking the what could be the inevitable an trying to predict the future all on a risk it might happen it might not Quote Link to post
