Not getting carried away at all mate, but I think hes doing a really tidy job.

They look so quick and dangerous when they break, and aren't scared to absorb pressure/defend to allow them to hit sides on the counter...its the way UTD played for years....look.ar the speed of attack when Rooney, Ronaldo and Tevez were breaking.... I'm obviously not directly comparing to that side but I think that's the style of play and speed of movement Ole is bringing...

For the previous 6 years or so, everything was too slow, too obvious and boring.... like you at.West Ham the fans at UTD expect a style of football, I honestly believe we're realistic enough to know a good cup run and a push for Europe is what we should hope for (yes morhino delivered that in his first year...but come the end we had stopped progressing).... I think if Ole can keep moving forward, play the good youth we have coming through, add another striker and midfielder, hes on the right lines...said from.day 1 I hope they stick with him..

Since the move i cant even drive past the old ground,even in a black cab i ask the driver to avoid the Green St/Barking Rd junction it just upsets me too much to see it as it is today people show me pictures and tell me about different businesses and locals that have gone and it breaks my heart i have so many memories,friendships and love for the place its like constantly seeing an ex girlfriend you dont want to keep being reminded of what you had ....sad really aint i ......i,ll always be a Hammer and still have a few season tickets at the new place but football will never be the same for me again....and theres a lot of folk like me.

Fantastic ground, not some piss hole surrounded by pakis like a scene out of Zulu......a place where good players actually want to come to work 

60,000 season tickets and a decent brand to market the merchandise 

It should have meant an end to the excuses and we should have then been able to keep developing players and actually keep them.

What we have is what we have always had and there’s only one reason for it, to stay in the prem and keep getting the revenue from that......f**k the football as long as you stay alive!

For a club like us who have contributed as much as we have to English football that stinks of having no pride about yourself at all !

So yes, I’d rather watch us have some pride about ourselves as a set of players and coaches and fans at a lower level if that is what it takes......I’d rather watch lads knocking their bollocks out for every inch of grass at Sunday league than people going through the motions of just staying alive......that’s a shit attitude to any sport that is mate.

Wilf i dont disagree with what your saying............but again.....you wanted this move so you obviously bought into what the owners were promising.....so why aint you bursting their doors down demanding what you was promised ?...........me im not demanding anything because i didnt believe a word of it in the first place.....i didnt want the move i was happy with what we was,i liked my club........you wanted something bigger and better yet instead of demanding something bigger and better you want back the principals we already had.

David Sullivan lives about 400 yards from me ive spoken to him a number of times as we know a few of the same people etc......he used to drive along get his driver to stop and wind the window down and we,d have a quick natter.....the last few times ive seen him i stick 2 fingers up and carry on straight past... i think he,s getting the message

Now that I do understand mate and that’s why it’s always going to be hard to have football conversations without that emotion.......football is as much your routine on the day as anything else, same for all of us make no mistake.

But really and truthfully what happens to fans off the pitch has absolutely nothing to do with what happens when the whistle blows......take away the badge and look at it cold really.

Thats all I am doing.......and I understand that it’s a personal way of looking at it.

You said yourself before, if Burt from the pie and mash ain’t playing centre forward you think we have sold out.....I get that mentality I really do but unfortunately it’s not something that fits with sport never mind top level sport.

Sport is the battle mate, it’s the blood and guts of the arena, the weak die and warriors survive......there’s absolutely no room for emotion there.

I dont want to sound all soppy and sentimental but our club motto was " Moore than just a football club ".....which for my generation it was,it was a community......when the current owners came along i was chuffed to bits i admired David Gold a great deal......but as soon as the new ground was mentioned i was done with them.....its not a new manager thats going to make the difference its new owners.....but the trouble is now for chaps like me is we have gone too far to turn back but not far enough to make change.....this has all been set up for a foreign investor to roll in and sweep us off our feet and thats when we,ll see change.......im as competitive as they come but i want West Ham to win games as West Ham not as a team who play in claret & blue but have no resemblance to the club i fell in love with as a kid.

Played Stortford who had a decent little left back who is out on loan from Orient.

Decent blood and guts English cup game under lights........really enjoyed it.

Exactly that, and that’s why imho we need one of these young blokes to come in and look at our history, promote out of the youth ranks, play exciting passing football, have a bit of grit, take every cup and league game seriously and most importantly keep the players we bring on and build an attractive side that’s West Ham United from the academy to the first team.......that’s our history and that is how we retain it.

Bringing Rafa Benitez or some shit ain’t going to do that imho mate.

Win or loose, the most important thing is play the right way and with the right attitude.......make it a place people come to watch good football again.

its on the westham forum knees up mother brown its a good read for all football fans it does show the level of feeling about the move and imput from other fans to  theres a few like it on other club forums but that ones the best one it does seem most of the older fans from clubs that have moved feel like you nash and some think like wilf i get both sides of it and its interesting how many fans from them clubs now follow a local non league team because of the move

If Rafa could do what he did with Newcastle despite the owner asset stripping the club then think what he could do with a club that has an owner who actually wants the club to succeed on the pitch like the Leicester owner does.

I think that West Ham's problems might be at board level. Are the owners committed to the football club like the fans are or are they looking at it as a cash cow?

You are making my points for me Wilf....ultimately the move was about success on the pitch....no ?.....taking us onto the next level .....no ?......attracting the worlds great players.....no ?....... thats the reasons you all gave for supporting the move.
