Fair comment, but let's examine his recored. He achieved promotion from the bottom league having being deducted 17 points. He then achieves two further promotions and has established Bournemouth firmly in the premiership. He's had a lot of injuries this season and, I grant you, suffered a run of defeats recently, but I would back him to establish the team in the middle of the table before the end of the season. He's the brightest young manager we have, I'm sure he's destined for bigger things.

I don't know mate, maybe some clubs have approached him but he wants to stay put for the moment. Perhaps chairmen think foreign managers have more ability than English managers. Maybe he would only be tempted by an offer from one of the big 5. He's only 42, time is on his side. I think eventually he will have to accept that he's achieved all he possibly can with Bournemouth and he will feel the need to test himself at the next level.

So what your saying is you wanted the move,you wanted the whole " big club " thing and " a brand " to keep up with the modern football world taking us to the " next level " and creating the instant success we was promised etc etc.....but now your " brand " isnt quite working out how you hoped it would and all the promises of European football,top 6 finishes,attracting the worlds elite players isnt quite materialising your getting all sentimental for the old traditions and principals that made us the club we were and your happy to drop down a division like we used to..........in other words instead of stamping your feet and demanding what YOU wanted.... you now want back exactly what we already had

i dont know if you or wilf have read the thread about football grounds gone but not forgotten but its a really good read it talks about places like filbert st highbury white hart lane upton park burden park ayresome park baseball ground highfield just to name a few and it talks about away days and  memories with some cracking photos of how it was back then  it shows just how fans communites businesses in the surrounding  areas all seemed more tighter than today i know your attendances are up but i wonder how many older westham fans  or fans from other clubs dont bother now  theres a new stadium  but business means as long as you fill the ground and compete with thoses round you  and make a profit that all that  matters it seems

Mate, like all of us, I can only view football from my own perspective.

If I only wanted to follow a “big” club I wouldn’t be a West Ham fan would I and I rather resent the accusation......what I am is a football lad and I like to think an honest one.

A football team should be progressing or at least doing something entertaining at what ever level it plays at.

At our old ground we were a club in the top flight of the best league in the world.

We developed some of the best English players ever to grace the game and promptly sold them.

We brought in managers like Fat Sam, Glen Rhoder, Grant etc and let them buy decent first division players and player at the end of their career

All the decent players we never, ever kept.

The excuse was always “we are too small, we don’t have the money to keep these people”

What?...a club that contributed the players that won us the World Cup?, not just played a part....actually won us it !

A club that produced 7 players in the 2010 World Cup squad out of its youth system?

A club that produced the most expensive defender ever at the time?

A club that produced Chelsea’s all time record goal scorer and from mid field into the bargain ?

And we were pleading f***ing poverty all the time!......

So.....the move should have put all that shit to bed.

Fantastic ground, not some piss hole surrounded by pakis like a scene out of Zulu......a place where good players actually want to come to work

It should have meant an end to the excuses and we should have then been able to keep developing players and actually keep them.

What we have is what we have always had and there’s only one reason for it, to stay in the prem and keep getting the revenue from that......f**k the football as long as you stay alive!

For a club like us who have contributed as much as we have to English football that stinks of having no pride about yourself at all !

So yes, I’d rather watch us have some pride about ourselves as a set of players and coaches and fans at a lower level if that is what it takes......I’d rather watch lads knocking their bollocks out for every inch of grass at Sunday league than people going through the motions of just staying alive......that’s a shit attitude to any sport that is mate.

You both love West Hams history, you both love what that academy gave to the game and you both have great memories from Upton Park

You both know that the club has employed absolute dross as managers for 10 - 15 years now, and the sides put our resemble that...

So you could've stayed ar the old ground, sang bubbles and watched shit football....

The shit thing is, for both of you and all west ham fans, is you moved to a swanky stadium with no soul and you're still.managed by a dinosaur and playing shit football... 

I think this whole transition wouldve been.a success if there was decent football being played, a decent forward thinking, coherent coach in charge, a cup run, a shout at Europe...etc... that's not making you a "big" club and all the bullshit that goes along with it, and you both (I think) would hate to be classed as a "big" club (I think that's a shit way to describe a club as well, but its unavoidable at times)... it makes you exactly what you should be, a club with aspirations, brand and commercialism is secondary... you should be like the current Leicester, Wolves, Totenham..... but your acting like Southmpton or Watford in a shiny stadium...

Hopefully the bloke gets the boot and your next manager is the right man, I really think that will make a big difference..

And I remember Gnasher was as pissed off as anybody else when that fat c**t pulled that stunt in the cup at Forest the other year.......does thinking you should try and win a cup make you a dreamer with ideas above your station ?

We took around 5000 away to an FA cup game at forest mate......what?, 5 or 6 years ago and he put out a side of kids that got murdered 5-0 and it could have been more in order to try and preserve players to just stay alive in the main league.
