rain starts play

Recommended Posts

well after being rained off loads this week I decided to bite the bullet and get myself sorted for home loading..

so me mate at the shop did me a good deal on the basics and his mate who loads for him has given me a good starting point with the load he makes for him:thumbs:

the tried and tested mix that my mate uses in the same twist rate to...1/12 and both 20" barrels so all being well it should be pretty straight forward?

bought two different 55gr to start off with.. the nosler bt varmint and Sierra gameking sbt,

been on the phone to my foxing mate tonight and he was asking if I wanted to go to the pig farm as there's one keeps getting clocked in the yard but I've got the kids so its a no go..

ill be having a full blown test of both on Sunday weather permitting!

I put off getting into foxing for a long time as I knew it would be an expensive hobby and mental hours but its got me..

was out the other night with this thermal giving it a test run as I can have it cheapish if I want it, what a bit of kit.. not the latest and greatest but plenty good enough for me!

shot a few rats around the barns that I wouldn't of normally seen and managed to squeak in 4 hares that came charging from all angles...

thought wtf as its usually foxes :shok:

I love having a go at the geese, I’d fling a sickie for that, I’ve got a meeting tonight with a bloke I do a bit of shooting for, he wants to show me around a new woodland he has planted because the deer are wrecking it but he has duck ponds on this place and a lot of geese so they will be getting a mention

Most girls are scared of geese!

Once caught a Canada while fishing on a scenic walk lake... it took off got to about 40yrd then I had to drop it!

it fell out of the sky like a brick, I had parents swearing at me kids screaming and crying while being fully attacked by all its mates while I cut it free ??

You should get some clipped mallard ? on there, put the building off until after February ??

We have just poured a foundation this morning and I had to get in it with a bucket because there was 2 foot of water in it, but this afternoon I’ve been putting equestrian fencing up and I’m over the moon with how wet it is, the posts went in like pushing them through butter
