"Meat is Cancer!"...............................NOPE!

I've said before that I am on a strict diet on Drs orders. Basically all meat, fats, fish, seafood anything that had a pulse is ok. Most things you consider incredibly healthy, I cannot (or I'm not supposed to) eat. I noticed I was very tired for the first few months, lost what little weight I had and started looking badly ill. Went to the dr's and kicked off that I felt like I was dying lol. She told me to stick to it and stop bitching (I kid you not, she said that ?)

Fast forward to now and I'm putting weight back on, my energy levels are gradually rising again and I can polish off a kilo of dead animal without feeling any discomfort.

A lot to be said for the paleolithic/animal diet. Obviously I include other foods such as nuts, some roots, white rice, quinoa, potatoes etc and fruit has to be citrus or berries. Overall I feel better with almost zero processed starches and fructose sugars, no fast food shit (not that I ever ate a lot) and no cheeky kebabs after a night out. The one thing I really miss, is onion ffs ?

Vegans and vegetarians all have to supplement their diet with vitamins and B12 injections and tablets. My ex who is veggie and eats cheese and eggs etc still has to have a B12 injection regularly, even though I have told her about marmite.

This diet your on mushroom, is more or less like the keto diet, but without the carbs.

Been doing it for a year now and see a big change in my health and engery levels.  Plus the the blood pressure has been a lot better, and my cholesterol has drop down well below the normal range.

Keto = all meats, fish, natural fats, natural dairy ect ect, no carbs, breads, cakes flour products ect ect.

Everything in moderation is the answer.

At the risk of being boringly obvious here moderation, variety in whole foods etc & cutting out man made shite in your diet has to be key. I’ve been working on my diet for years which has included

The one thing I have noticed with regard to health is that the vast majority of old men have flat stomachs. The grim reaper loves fat bellies. I've seen a lot of my friends die before their time of ob

Pretty much yes mate but I am allowed some natural carb sources like potatoes, white rice, buckwheat etc. The problem I have is due to an intolerance/malabsorbtion of fructose. My body doesn't absorb it, it just turns it directly to a form of hydrogen in my gut. Makes for some pretty spectacular farts that when lit,  can illuminate a bar ???

I'm just glad it wasn't the big C mate. I'll take an explosive fart issue, over cancer any day ?

I know, as I said she eats those things but not enough to provide her daily B12 intake. Marmite eaten twice every day will provide enough. It's one of them mate, bang your head against a wall because she will still go get her injection ?

Lol I lived with one of those for a couple of years mate, til I couldn't take no more of her deluded ways. She was the first person I'd heard the words 'tree hugger' from ?. Went downhill fairly rapidly after that! ? ?

Anything but the big c.

That sounds like a forum of ibs ?.

Carbs were making me unwell, but when I cut them out, after a month or so I could feel a big difference.

Cutting out the carbs wasn't easy, never missed bread so much. Was never into potatoes or pasta really, so didn't miss them

My missus has to get a b12 shot every 2 months, her body can't store it.

Will have to tell her about the marmite

IBS is what they call it when they have no fuucking idea mate. I went through 3 years of tests, cameras down my throat/up my arse. Countless blood tests, biopsies, x-rays, MRI, allsorts. Eventually my dr (the darling that she is) demanded that certain tests be made available to me, which apparently cost a fuuck load of money and are not widely offered. She wangled it and low and behold there was the issue (or part of it).

IBS is a cop out. To all of you... If your dr has told you you have this. Go back and demand the breath test for fructose and lactose. Don't let them fob you off. If I had never found out about this and continued with my normal diet, it could've been fatal for me.

Normally B12 is stored in the live and it is water soluble (so you can't overdose). Never knew people couldn't store it.

All these years of ignoring popular medical advice and continuing to eat  bacon sandwiches and beef steak, that has caused no end of domestic grief, not to mention a nagging doubt at the back of my mind that they could all be right. Who do I sue?

Apparently, according to a medical professional friend of mine, it is not possible for a human being to be a 100% vegan as we cannot survive without certain things that are not available from plants. Even yeast, from an idealist ethical point of view is classed as an animal.

But let them have their day. When land goes over from meat and cereal production to vegetables then  the need for control of pest species also increases, rabbits and deer have nothing to thank their veggie friends for.
