Ive only ever seen one whitetail, and it was disappearing into the distance as it straightlined two staghounds in Texas.

So I'll leave it to the experts ! !

I think the brit guy,went stateside to be an MMA fighter, used to post on here had a dog killed while running or actually by a whitetail buck,

ill enlighten you dogman you get your pup out using its nose hunting up getting its mouth on any it can spring summer a hare is as tricky as they come 

a hare dog needs to be fast stamina have loads a brain and be excellent around cover you dont get that going out a 16month old chasing hares in season

On a side note if those deer are too fast to catch, how the feck were / are lads catching red kangaroos with a top speed of 70 kmph? Maybe they only can do it in short bursts
