Me leaving work on a Friday...

'if you want to go out in the out back take a land rover......if you want to get back then take a Toyota' that's what they say in oz? all the sand niggers drive Japanese......good reason for it ?

I would rather the new Jimny at £20k.

Too posh for a defender, they have lost the principal of the creation of the defender where it can be easily maintained and worked on by the most basic tool kits with ease, in any field, forest or war zone, that new one won’t it will cost a fortune in maintainence and the 90 has too much overhang at the front, the old defender will run rings around it off road

Can't see it being much use for carrying people and equipment around the fields, which is the point of a 4 x 4. Imagine a roll of sheep net, some fence posts and a post bumper bouncing around in the back of that knocking off the trim or breaking the windows. Or some old farmer stuffing a load of string, nails and hammers in the front console and smashing that screen. Doesn't look like it will come with pick up configuration anymore, which some people want. No point being loyal to the Landrover name if they are owned and built by foreigners, just get a japanese pick up, cheaper and better.

You dont see any of this shit in auz its nissan patrols hilux or yutts the yanks laugh at this shit to ?

They lap up the premium/luxury SUV shit like RRs and Discos. This new Defender is targeted straight at that market.

The double cab truck has firmly claimed the Defenders throne in the country and business realms. They're not even trying to take it back.
