From another sight.

It probably looks strange to us now but in 1938 in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire this was the display you would have seen at some time of the year at your local... butchers shop.

"In the days before fridges, a butcher's shop displays its many rabbits, ducks, pheasants, geese, hares and other fowl. Eating rabbit was very popular, they provided a ready source of meat, as they breed year round."

Can I have 2 rabbits,1 duck and a goose please butcher,oh but make sure no flies please? !!!
