Saw it happen umpteen times now with most types but they all had a mix a whippet an grey in them, folk want a whippet sized dog end up with a big un or folk want a big un an end up with a wee in, we was always told as lads never to mix the 2 unless ye wanted a varied litter an to this day Iv never had one yet, doubt I will either tbh

Yer cheers Dan ? I am not set on height but want something for ferreting bushing and lamping but also big enough to retrieve a shot fox ?

First x bedy grey do all above and more ,I have bitch here just over 22 tts .and this x take to retrieveing what you want very easy in my opinion .the x got great nose ,and plenty anufe in the tank to make good mooching jook .

the only thing this x lacks is wind like you get with sal,but if I wanted hare dog I'd have a sal x .im not saying they karnt take hare just not coursing jooks .

im thinking about putting a greyhound over tink once she's proved herself  .

True, but finding anything like a working Bedlington here is impossible.I don't want to breed a litter of Russell/whippets to get one pup.I'm worried about getting them good homes as I'd imagine the first cross will be hard for most to handle, and not a great number of rabbiters around here, although the cross is pretty good on pigs,so still thinking about it.

My daughter lives in NSW and she keeps asking me to send her a couple of pups over, you stump up the brass and ill send you a decent Beddy over, plus one for my grandkids, lot of money perhaps, the benefits may outweigh the Aussie dollar?,ill be over in November if you want to talk and give me a day in the field.

I think a greyhound would take to much out of your first cross, if you could find a first x beddy/grey I think that would be the way to go

Yes maybe putting her back to a first x be a better match than a greyhound .

I would not use a greyhound for anything except first cross.

greyhound was just a thought and thinking about it a grew would be better ,
