micky 3,325 Posted July 17, 2019 Report Share Posted July 17, 2019 This Months issue of The Field is about prospects and prices for the coming Grouse season one item about Blackcock stated that the Record bag with ONE SHOT was 18 Birds [that's a Van full ] and other Records hovered around the 200 mark on driven Grouse Moors . Another item on Fishing a chap wrote that when he was a Lad he stood on the Wooden Footbridge over the River Lune and could see between 3/4 thousand Salmon and Sea Trout that seems a lot to me but the Old Folk around me that all they ate was Salmon and Rabbits all these people are in their late 80s so we are going back to the late 30/40s .
