First time out with the maxus

Went out at 5 this morning to give the maxus a go and had a few hours on the blacks doing crop protection 

A few came in after I had tried to scare them off by other means but to no avail 

gun shoots bang on the money and I’m well pleased with it

nice little shotgun i had the carbon fibre looking one about 5 years ago and it peformed with no faults for about a year that i owned it for

was out with my mate foxing last night/this morning, due to the crops we both used 12's and my mate was saying how much he regretted selling his maxus and he's gonna buy another!

Seems a shame to put that ugly rubber thing on the butt . Is it too short in the stock ?

yep mate about 3/4 or a inch , Lop a bit short don’t know any thing else to do

I know it’s not pretty but there’s no longer butt pads to put on and to be truthful it’s fits like a glove

I’m not sure about this on that model , but I believe that spacers can be fitted between the action and the stock to increase the length . Other than that a competent gunsmith can do you a butt extension . I really hate those rubber jobs they tend to catch on your clothing. I am 6.2” and sometimes have this problem but I find I can shoot most standard stock lengths .
