I rest in peace Tanya, a wicked disease. lost my mum aged 53 we it. and my sister, in her 30s, and now my lady has terminal cancer, and im struggling both mentally and physically. up no later than 6am, do the housework before she gets up, wash any last nights supper dishes cos I was to knackered last night to do em, she gets up. I escort her down stairs, what once was a healthy buxom lady is now a bag of bones, and its heart braking to see. I change her dressings, give her her tablets. the only time venture out these days is to pay bills, or food shopping, a far cry from the days when I was out wi my mate Nell and ferrets, I even have to wash my ladies her cos shes to weak,

Sat here for a while trying to think of something to say, fecking speechless i am ......

Just hope you both find strength for a happy tomorrow mate...

I have walked in your shoes, be strong knowing your doing the best you can for your good lady, I just wish there was something I could say that would help, but I know what your going through, it's not

i know your pain mate..i lost my wife last september. bestest friend i ever had..they tried there best to get me to put her in the hospice.but i refused and looked after her at home..like you i became

Terrible disease that afflicts so many.

RIO Tanya and stay strong Vinnie.

I watched a really thought provoking documentary last night. I'm going to put it on another thread. Anyone who has experienced or is experiencing cancer, should take 2 hours to watch it. I know it's changed me and what I believe.

I can’t begin to imagine what that’s like , and I hope you find the strength to continue to care for her and that you keep healthy. After reading it I looked at my wife and thought “what if that was me “? You can take the ones you love for granted. I went over and gave her a hug , “ what’s that for “? She said, “ nothing “ . ATB

When my brother died, I did the same, only for a short while. Hit the drink and scrapping. My dad.. he hasn't stopped since 2003. His way of coping put him in hospital the other week because his blood-alcohol levels were too low ?‍♂️

He lost his son, his sister and his dad in the space of fuuck all years. We all deal with shit different but drink and drugs should never be the path.
