Summed up so well. Hard pushed to find a wood around her now where some one hasn't built a log cabin or put a tent for weekends. Then there is lots of off grid folks with there huts and solar panels. Not that I blame them but its just really crowded now a days

Remember being out lamping with a cousin one frosty night and a fox started squealing the other side of hedge about 20 yards away. He didn't know what it was. He nearly shit himself and asked me was that a banshee wailing. I told him I couldn't hear any noise and he was imagining things. Never seen a 20 year old lad to want to leave a field as quick.

That was a common question i was asked as a lad, don't you get scared out on your own in the meddle of nowhere in the dark? It never occurred to me to be scared, strange noises etc just meant either something to run the dog on or away from from, not be fright of lol. I never believed in ghosts and such like although i was fright of horror movies as a lad.

The only time I've been nervous whilst out lamping is in a cow field when the whole heard charged at me.

Was in a bus and when I stood up to get off no backside in trousers 16year old still dream about it
