I've got the korum mk 1 tripod that they first brought out.....can't fault it,it's not as heavy duty as the new version .....I drilled a hole in the bottom cups to stop them filling up with water and damaging the cork rod butts?mines got to be 10 yr old or more.

I use a Shakespeare Salt Beach Rest. Other than it being blue which I don't mind, it is ideal. Very sturdy and easy to set up.

What I have done though is to drill through the top bar and fit some quick change adapters on the opposite side to the rod rests so I can choose to turn it over and use bite alarms when needed.

Think mine is a pro logic one. Comes with short and long front legs so can be used as a normal pod or a river type pod. Little bit of faffin putting it up, not excessive like, but once up it is rock solid. Think it was about 60-80quid. Few years back now mind.
