WARS COMING

Maybe compulsory cadets when they reach 14 that's how it is in my sons school, Duke of Edinburgh awards as well.

All good character building stuff, sets the moral compass as well.

Dross is used regular here, it's the dust off coal and around £4 a bag, burns well and if you have a hydraulic ram your laughing, normally just stick in a plaggy bag an leave on the stove over night, saves banking it up.

I'm on your side too with ns, sure the squaddies would have fun kicking the kids (scum) into shape! What else could we do with vermin of today, let them stab each other out, or send them to the front line with they're kitchen knives 🤔

I  built a Dross Pit  when I was a kid it was at a Metal Casting Forge,  Dross is all the impurities that come to the surface when you are producing cast iron  or any other Metal

I don’t agree with national service,  I remember a fella in 2005 when he came to battalion and was asked by the CO, y u John the army??? His reply was needed a job.......Hedrick 4 came and his job came very real very quick, poor kid died.

he didn’t want to be there,  therefore he had in interest,  so he put himself in serious danger and everybody else around him,. But as it’s been said, warfare had changed, I was talking to my brother the other day, he’s on his 5th tour now, own room, WiFi,  air con, tv, he said it’s hiust like camp and thts then on the front line lol

Ah, the good ol' ginnel, or as they became more commonly known in the 90's "Smack heads Lanes"...many's the time we used to have to dodge discarded needles and step over semi-comatosed junkies...fond memories eh? I remember at the time people would comment with such things as "A spell in the army would do them good" or "Bring back national service".  I never agreed with that myself, why sully our armed forces with adding them to the ranks. Could always put them on IED detection duty i suppose. :) :) :)

I remember farther saying that the human race was too clever for it's own good and that we would destroy ourselves.  National service.  In the second world war the top age limit was 45. National service was only there to keep the young men off the street and relieve pressure in the job market so that ex servicemen had a chance to find employment and thus not end up with an unemployed army of disgruntled ex servicemen loitering about on street corners looking for revolution. After ww1 my grandfather repaired tools used by road gangs of ex servicemen who were employed making road but modern warfare is so high tech that you can't just give the groups a spade to dig holes and expect them to turn to operating high tech weapons all within a couple of years especially when there isn't 2 Bob spare in the economy. The fantasy and the reality. Still there is ebola waiting in the wings to help thin the masses.

National Service re operating as Volentary Regular fully trained professional soldiers that could end up in War zones ain't a good idea for reasons mentioned.

But National Service whereby you do the basic training and get some discipline' focous ' and maybe some trade training of some sort wouldn't be a bad thing surely ?????

Whereby you can't be sent to a Warzone or foreign conflict but you serve in the Uk helping build say Sea defences ' help out when there are natural disasters re floods ect or act as security to large gatherings re concerts ' festivals ect where terrorism could present itself .

Lots of youth have no discipline or focous and imo it could only be a good thing for most people ?

Going off on a tangent but all kids are not academic so schools thru government backing could play their part by allowing kids to drop say Sciences or maths ' English in the last 3 years of school and replace it with trade training

ie

Bricklaying

Carpentary

Joiner

Plumbing

Electrician

ect ect

Ger proper tradesmen a teaching qualification to work alongside schools to teach certain kids their first 3 years of a trade at school.

Last 2 years of that trade alongside a form of National Service if they can't find a civvy company to finish their trade training at when leaving school?????

Kids could be leaving school with 70% of their trade learned and with a massive chance of bettering themselfs and benefiting Britain and their community.

There is a massive shortage of genuine tradesmen coming thru.

This would help combat this.

Every village ' Small town ' large towns ' city's have areas that are derelict or brownfield sites.

Clear these areas ' re landscape and build instead of going outwards onto green belt and the centres of these places just becoming ever larger shitholes.

Its not rocket science it's corrupt councillors ect that are the problem for the best part.

Conscript armies are shit......full stop !

The time and monetary investment in a professional soldier is massive, why are they going to invest that in some two bob pot head who don’t want to be there?

The whole idea is utter nonsense !
