When you use night vision...

What mag do you set your scope too?

I couldnt pick my ir up on screen last week but reallised i had scope set to 20x mag.

Would that be why?

Scope is 6-24x50 hawke diginite eye.

I use it at that mag during day for rabbits upto 50 meters

I generally use mine at 4 or 5x as you get a better field of vision... and that’s using sub 12 and fac so there’s no messing with different holdovers!

the lower the mag the more flood you can use on the ir so you don’t white out

20 is far to much for night and day on airguns . I shoot on 6 times night and day even out to 135 yards 

some addons NV don’t like high mag scopes  . Had 8-32-50 Airmax scope and could never get my pard to work , found out to much mag , although I was only shooting on 8 x

Only use x6 mag at night with my add-on. I use x10 during the daytime

Even with knackered eyes, I use 6x or 8x for day and night and that is out to 100mt+.

20 mag?!

If I had the optic, I’d try that but I only use 4-6 anytime of the day. 3 x when I used to plug um at the roost.

I personally find I shoot better keeping the mag to a bare minimum in all circumstances.
