Did anyone see him at the Northern Shooting Show? He's an interesting bloke. I stopped to talk to him at the BASC stand and he was a real laugh, telling stories about doing that Clarissa and the Countryman series and about Clarissa beating up the BBC execs to pressure them to show all the hunting scenes. He even said that Clarissa knew that doing that series would effectively end her career with the BBC as it was. God bless her fat soul!

I met him and Clarissa at a game fair years ago , stopped and had a natter . I couldn’t help but feel that they were a bit miffed that I didn’t buy their book that they were signing and selling.

They did work very well together she was a good old girl Clarissa some of the food she made was incredible.
