Gilbey 1,405
smaller than a rabbit would probably be too small, can't dismiss without trying never seen any type of game with a tape measure Edited May 8, 2019 by Gilbey Quote Link to post
Black neck 15,161
What would be 2 little for someone would most likely be just reet for someone else Plus there all different a little 21 incher could have plenty in it and lamp all night and a bigger dog might blow after a few runs 1 Quote Link to post
D Lloyd 2,790
Seen a bitch at 20 and 21 inch flaten big bags of rabbits were bigger lurchers struggle to catch Quote Link to post
poxon 5,555
I’ve a 17tts bedlington x whippet f1 Id say is to small as them little legs have to work twice as hard as a medium to large type Lurcher I personally don’t think I could have anything under 22tts again I still personally feel that little whippet Lurchers are pointless when a work bred whippet has the small running dog crack mastered 1 Quote Link to post

Aussie Whip 3,822
I knew a bloke with an Italian greyhound that used to catch rabbits. He had to give it to his mum as a pet, which is what he had it for originally,as it was constantly injured. It was very game but too small for any hunting really.I'm going to breed a Russell to a whippet soon as they will be sturdier and more agile around the rocky creeks where I hunt a lot. They are both big examples of their breeds. 1 Quote Link to post
Rusky1984 155
My ped whippet is only 18.5tts and she has no problems taking rabbits on the lamp or during the day when out with the ferrets 1 Quote Link to post
