50 pence in the back of the telly

Recommended Posts

Grew up with all that wrestling late 60s early 70s before the football results on Saturday afternoon.

Kent Walton was commentator and later Fred Dineage. Anyone remember Les Kellet? He was funny, Masambula, Ricky Starr, Adrian Street and Bobby Barnes, Steve Logan, several others coming back to me now lol Pat Roach was in Auf Weidersehn Pet, the famous actor Brian Glover (Kes etc) fought as Leon Aris,

Saw Haystacks at my local town hall when my kids were young, a local young nob got in the ring with him and got fired straight back out again ?

Cheers, D.

I remember minder as I always liked the mk2 escort in the forecourt I’m sure it was a harrier, thought they were quick until I got a run in one and found out they were shite

That was a blindin motor it was a 1600 Harrier with the x pack kit.....i did a bit of investigating years later it was last registered in South Wales late 90,s.......to think that could be sitting in a barn somewhere just waiting to be restored....be worth a fortune.

My father had 7 brothers who most were away but would turn up at granny's for bank holidays and go on the beer together. They wouldn't give you the steam off their piss sober but when they came back for dinner pissed, myself and my brother were like magpies when they fell asleep on the sofas and the changed spilled out or god forbid they fell in the yard ??? Granny could see no wrong in her boys but we saw the vulnerable side and seized the opportunity for 50 pences spilling everywhere. Macyver had to be watched and we done what you had to do to make it happen.?
