Blocked heat exchanger

Posted Images

get a plumber in to diagnose he fault but sometimes a flush out will solve the problem ( if it is the heat exchanger blocked) other times it’s new heat exchanger that needs to be fitted

It’s normal the water can also smell rank , if you have had the boiler for a long time you probably best off giving it a flush out , you could try draining it your self and the just refilling your boiler , ( it’s not dangerous to drain and refill your boiler ) just remember to bleed your rads after you refill ,

Fukc sake can’t be that hard ... just don’t smoke whilst your repairing it ?

I,ve done this several times to save a pound or two, look on line at your particular model find the heat exchanger it will be easily accessible and removable just whip it out stick it in a bowl of vinaigrette for the day wash all the shit out and replace ??? that’s meant to say vinegar mate scrumpy will also work if you have no vinegar ?
