Pigeon cartridges

Recommended Posts

Last year, I tried a few boxes of Hull Cartridge, Superfast Pigeon, 29gr, 6 shot in both Fibre and plastic. I found them to be a cracking cartridge for decoying, cheaper and lighter in the shoulder. I have just cleared out an assortment of shells as I now only use the Superfast although I do not like Superfast 27gr 7s as a clay load, really don't rate them but many do and they are cheap but I will pay an extra tenner per slab and stick with Eley Superbs.

Cartridges, shot size, shot hardness, wad type, shot load, paper, plastic, crimp, roll. fibre, plas wad, and loads of other things have absorbed miles of text over the years. The lists is endless. And that's just the cartridges.  if you put the lead on the target any cartridge that goes bang will do the job. people think their selves out of hitting the target.  Years ago a bloke that was on the same shoot was an Eley grand prix 1-1/16 oz of number 5 man.  He wouldn't shoot anything else at all.  Someone gave him a box of Gevolot cartridges !!   " I'm not using that foreign muck " he said and he gave them to me.  I delighted in calling over to him and thanking him for giving me these excellent cartridges that just chopped the high birds that I had just shot. ? ?
