We had a pair local to us recently ,passage I guess but think they’ve moved on .They pair for life if I’m not mistaken .

Thanks, these are not easy to photograph and I do bin plenty of shot but with practice I think I am getting a bit better each year.

I don't think Marsh Harriers do pair for life as the males sometimes mate with more than one female but they will still provide food for all of them. This one was certainly trying to attract a mate with flight displays and calls but all the males kept a great distance and any other females coming near to this ones patch were seen off. I have only been photographing them for a couple of year so still trying to get to know their breeding and display patterns so will have a read up.
