think the wind must of blown the stars in line for me today,...

apart from not going to work everything else has panned out ace, went to the gun shop to pick some bits up and the bloke said he's got a lad bringing in a 99 for me to fettle?

stop me getting board for a night!

so I got home and decided to nuke the house.. got this posh bloke coming over at the weekend:laugh:

after a couple of hours I got pissed off and sat down for a brew and logged onto here where I spotted a right bargain only an hour away so I was on it like a tramp on chips!

after a quick blast over the moors I was handing over a few quid to a bloke off this site "darkwood" nice bloke?

and on me way home with these!

fullsizeoutput_4c5.jpeg.d9590cf428279b87858c6fcabb0f79ef.jpeg

did some geeking and came up with this..

top bsa club standard no1 1922 doing 6.3ftlb with fap

hw 77, needs new front latch that they don't make any more but I know a kid with a scrap bin from hell..... 1961 doing 8.9ftlb fap

bsa s-modle with to many missing bits so ill trade parts 1914

hw 35 intact bar iron sights 8.2ftlb 1962

all of them need fettling but thats not a bad thing cos it'll keep me out of the pub!!

cheers si

That's an interesting bunch mate

........ I'll look forward to seeing what you do with these.

I reckon you should go nuts on the '77 and the lathe - come up with some proper space age FT type rig ;)

Any idea what the scope and mount is on the '35?

I've only ever had one '77 and, it shot very nicely

.......... I can't gauge them on that though because SFS had had a pop at it.

Don't you like those reticles mate?

.......... I do do like AMX & SCB reticles but, there's just something about a simple, bog standard 30/30. Maybe it's nostalgia :hmm:

Than you for the offer mate

.............. But, since a good mate gave me a really nice Simmons Whitetail Classic with a 30/30 reticle, I wouldn't have anything else to put it on

Maybe put it in storage until you find a kiddy in need that's just starting out
