Sticky ferret

any tips on how to get a ferret that is not keen on coming out of hole back. Got a couple of jills one is fine but the other is a bit more timid and not keen on being picked up when coming out of rabbit hole.

What sort of treats can you give a ferret? Tried leaving it to come clear of hole but seems that some ferrets just seem to be sulkers and others no problem could be just there personality/temperment.

Yes mate think you are right with there being more rabbits in the hole as there are a lot of rabbits and they are not keen on bolting.just waiting on a locator off evil bay should be here next week. Just have to keep trying she if she comes right like her sister.

As said spend the summer with her coming and going out of pipes in the garden and move real slow , let her come right out and pick her up , , but usually once a sulker always a sulker .That's why i let the kids play with any kits in pipes in my garden makes them bomb proof

You could try putting the carrying box down near but clear of the hole she is showing most at with the lid open. See if she walk out and get in the box, works for some.

You have to have patience , most do it  some don't its a waiting game but they all come right in the end .

if you have already caught  a rabbit when the ferret has gone missing, wriggling it round the hole tends to do the trick for me (oo er missus). When you feed them at home make daft kissing noises so they associate it with you. Other than that, just like the other lads say spending the summer handling it and getting a few pipes to run around makes a world of difference.

Then to just completely contradict what I've just said, one of my hobs is perfect while hes working but is an absolute arsehole at home and just savages my hand. You will learn the character of each ferret and find the best way
