Not quite airgun, but .....

Recommended Posts

Slightly off topic chaps, but I wanted to make a hunting knife that would not look out of place with my vintage Springer collection. Well after nearly thirty five hours if work by hand I've made this! Its not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it will fullfil the intended purpose.

Thank you fellas. Something I've wanted to do for a very long time, I'm trying quite hard to become a semi retired pestie but the customers won't blinking let me. However I do intend trying my hand at this a bit more. Coupled with producing quality craft cider I'm hoping to become busier in what " I want" ?

Nice blade mt. Whats the timber?

Whatever it is, it would look lovely on a nice deep drop point skinner/gutter. Cracking job mate??

Hmmm, I could fancy giving a Skinner a go ?. I've just started the sheath for this one. Bought 1075 and 1080 steel for my next attempts.

If that's your first attempt mate, brilliant. Absolutely superb if you compare it to Sock's ?

Cheers, D.

Absolutely 100% the first knife I've ever made. I had guidance and encouragement from wendon who is now a bit of an icon in the UK custom knife making world.
