Vet ,and dog temp ?

Buck hurthis back foot Friday night, Saturday took him to different vet as my vet  was closed  thiso woman  vet  asked  all questions  etc  how he did it  ,then  said hold him  round the  neck.  And started to poke around  his  foot, he  never made any  noise? And was well behaved .she said again  hold him tight  and started  to flush  his foot  with  water? All the time  kept  looking  at Buck? I had gut feeling  she  was  wary  of him, anyway  some antibiotics  and pain relief  tab, €80 quid. Next day had look at him wasn't  happy  with his toes  they were twice the normal  size. Said ton my wife  let's  get Buck  inside  and have another  look? I got  both  my  hands  on his foot, my wife  at the front  and  bent  down  had a look she  said  I think  some  wood  right in his foot.I  I pressed  his foot hard  ,and the wife  starated to pull this bloody  thing  out.  3/4 in long  and  1/4 wide.he never  made  a noise  and there  were  no hands holding him  the vet had  pushed the blood thing in deeper, she wary of the dog  and  not thought  it out proper? I never  go there again  no way     couple pics.

I bet you ain't happy ray that ain't no little splinter is it! You've got a quality dog there most would of been a nasty fecker! Good on buck being that chilled about it all hope the swelling has gone down mate. I'd b back up the vets with it tbh just to let her know. Its a joke what they charge now days. Cost me over 100quid for me bitch to have her dew claw checked after braking in half and damaging the toe a couple months ago. Those antibiotics that costs a bomb! Atb Criss

That’s a large bloody splinter for the vet to be missing lol, she didn’t look at the foot to hard by the seems of it. I would be on the phone to that vets moaning about the service the have given

thanks lads  yeh mate, he walking better to day,suppose he w ould with that thing out of his foot,he good dog works well and great temp couldnt ask for much more .mate.

I'd be asking for the money back, at least for the consultation, how could she miss that!  After a while without a dog, I used my old vets,  everytime I went there would be a different vet. The last straw was the dog broke her canine tooth. The vet didn't even introduce herself, said the dog was overweight without even weighing it! I had to hold the dogs mouth open while she looked at the tooth from about 6 feet away and said the dog would need an operation to remove the tooth. After thinking about it, I cancelled the operation telling them I wasn't happy with their service. They still tried to chase me for ages for the £35 consultation fee for all of 5 minutes! Now found a vet i'm happy with, they're like hens teeth!

I use a retired vet does odd days at dogs trust he’s sound get you anything you need and fair price £20 100ml imflacam can’t fault him deals with terriers and bull Xs no questions asked like a god send... I go his house Got a mini surgery at his house.... IDEAL  put her dads dog to sleep old age18 year old jack Russell just a pet £20 and £30 if you want him dispose of it and incinerate it... and he always willing give advice over phone with any worries

Glad you got buck sorted bud. More chance of you biting her than buck I’d deffo go back & show her what came out & point out to her that if she payed more attention to her job & not whats in her imagination she would’ve noticed it. Hope he mends quick bud   Atb

Sounds like a top bloke not like the vets I've had to deal with!
