I nearly let it go

Recommended Posts

At the range today and an old friend was interested in the impact

first it was vizs impact but the lad wanted a 177

so i gave him mine to shoot

he just fell for it

i asked him £1400 for it as its only 3 mths old and i gave £1680 for it

but at the last min i backed off

the plan was to sell this one and buy vizs in 22

but vis,s dose not have the xliner barrel and mine dose

the lad has vis,s phone no so i may still do the deal yet

but im in two minds

what to do ,,,what to do

Sorry mate but I thought the .22 was a better bet for later fac upgrade. As for the X-liner Jimmy, I really would not give it too much thought, I don't have the X-liner but it didn't stop me taking three rabbits at 127, 122 and 73 mts the other night, (some luck in there as well) but the point is that it doesn't stop me taking some bloody good kills despite the fact that I can miss em as well but that is me not the gun.

The other option is a second barrel at approx £350 inc one mag then you keep the .177 and have a .22 both of which are X-liner barrels which also puts you in the right place for an fac upgrade if that comes off at a later date. That is not much more than you would lose by selling the gun at £1400.

Listen my old pal, if you like the gun you have, save up for the .22 barrel set which is easy for me to say as it is not my money we are talking about.

Good luck with your decision Jimmy.

£280 is a lot of money to lose Jimmy.

Honestly, I don't have an answer mate.

........ Part of me says that the money could get you an HW100, a springer and, some NV.

But, how much do you like the Impact?

It's a tough one for sure :hmm:
