villaman 9,979
Eat all I shoot And very tasty . Young ones roast with salt , pepper and a dash of olive oil for 30-35 minutes . Older ones either put them in a slow cooker or in water ,carrot , peppercorns onion ,bring to boil them simmer for 1-1 1/2 until meat is tender then use in game pies ,curries, stir fries . buggers . It all depends on what they have been feeding on , the ones I shoot feed on Chestnuts , beechnuts , hazel nuts and taste like something between lamb and duck . Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,549
Firstly, skin them correctly. Secondly, just drop them, portioned, into a deep fat fryer, American style . That simple and boy are they nice ! My Son and his girlfriend loves them. Better than fried chicken. atb Mark. Quote Link to post

Jonjon79 13,340
They taste like squirrel. The last couple that I had, I made into a mini shepherds pie thing. ........ The meat can be tough if you overcook it - I gave these 2 a bit of time in the oven, then cut the meat off and cooked it in veg and gravy before it went in the pie. Give them a go mate - it's good lean meat Quote Link to post
