That was my thinking too, so was I correct in thinking without 4k movie making function the actual photos would be as good taken on an old 40d for instance?

What kind of MP would I be looking for zandy if I just want 6x4 size prints.

To be honest the movie function is irrelevant if only using for photos, even now entry level DSLR’s take such high quality images and MP wise won’t make any difference unless you’re looking to print the likes of A3 or bigger...

Thanks for all your advice mate I now know what I'm looking for and as you said once you get something to start off with you can always up grade as and when  ?
