Greyman 25,239 Posted January 10, 2019 Report Share Posted January 10, 2019 Had a couple of hours out with the dogs yesterday as it was like a spring day plus had to relocate a couple of cameras, around 10.30 stood in a 15 acre field chatting with farmer when I spied a reddish brown back sneaking past just over the brow right in the middle of the field stood on my tiptoe and saw a fox walking on 3 legs he was a couple of hundred meters from any cover and would have been easy meat for any dog even a fat one, strange we both said and on I went, picked up cams and heading back I cut through an old go cart track and feck me there was another one walking round the track about 1 o’clock by now, I walk this land regularly and apart from on the cameras never see a fox out in the day yet that bit of sun midday had them miles out from cover and throwing caution to the wind, if they still had a price on there head I could of nailed the pair Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Greyman 25,239 Posted January 10, 2019 Author Report Share Posted January 10, 2019 Funny thing is I see urban fox’s during the daytime regularly don’t even raise a brow, but out of town without the dogs flushing them out I very rarely see them so to see two in a couple of hours midday was a bit of a shock, were as I don’t often go to my cameras without bumping into a few deer which is a real pain in the arse, Quote Link to post Share on other sites

downsouth 6,831 Posted January 10, 2019 Report Share Posted January 10, 2019 Ive worked on a few gas sites in London where the poxy things are walking aroung like dogs.Had them sitting 10/15m away just watching us working and ive tried squeaking them and they dont even react to it.Ive even walked towards one and when ive got ridiculously close it just got up walked a few meters and sat back down again.
