There are cameras all along the perimeter fence as well just inside with motion sensors , it’s good exercise for me and the dogs and I,m also looking for dead animals and feline footprints as I go, I have 9 other cameras in the same wood and it takes me three visits of half a day each to check them all, I actually love it would spend all day every day out in the woods and fields if I never had to earn money??

Fair enough I wouldn't ever damage fences. But I see there's a lot of large unused industrial land surrounded by fencing with no buildings on it with no definite owners due to businesses going bust and been taken over by banks, National assets management agency and criminal assets bureau during the recession. Perfectly good overgrown mooching land not been used for anything that's been tied up in legal battles for 10 years or more. I wouldn't begrudge anybody doing a bit of ferreting if it's not affecting anyone's livelihood or income.?

It’s been like that since ww2 and I,ve been mooching in there since I was a child it’s a little oasis I got a big male polecat on one of my cameras here a few weeks back and saw a raven, buzzard and almost stepped on a female roe this morning swapping the SD cards there are thousands of people going about there business totally unaware a few hundred yards away, there is even a guy living in a one room off grid house in there, have a look on the wildlife photo section you can see some of the animals that live in here it’s alive  ?

Not a problem as I have no right to be here myself, but as I,ve been in this area over 50year and had dogs nearly 40 I recognise most local dog men or there dogs but not this one, looks like a box of ferrets on the shoulder as well,  the camera is on the outskirts of Bristol less than 200 yards from the m5 just saying hello if it’s you ??

Greyman what's the best evidence of big cats in the UK pal

It’s more scientific, than exciting mate if I,m honest, everyone wants the perfect picture and I do believe with the cost and quality of remote cameras, drones and thermal getting better we are going to get that, but truth be told there is probably enough scientific  evidence without a picture, the final piece of the puzzle is what is called one of the three C,s capture an animal, clear picture or corpse, born will probably understand this and be able to explain more, but we have a mature student at the university that has decided to do his  disatation on the toothpit stuff so we get a bit of funding I met him in Oct and he was hoping to have it done by Christmas, so have another meeting in March with the boffins to discuss were it goes next  this is the sort of stuff not as exciting as seeing a live leopard but you might see why finding corpses is quite important the one on the shoe is a perfect example, but sadly taken in America as an example, the hip girdle was one I found when I went up to wooton with Daniel cain, we have over ten confirmed carcasses that have been eaten in England by cats to date and more being found as we all learn what to look out for, mostly deer a few sheep and a wild boar ?

Cheers mate thanks for that in your opinion is a leopard puma or lynx from what I know if it was a leopard alot more dogs would go missing in Mumbai they have become leopards favourite prey. Also in Ghana a security firm lost 7 of its 10 guard dogs to leopard attacks

The density of the populations in places like India are pretty high there is one quite well known area aarey with a known population of 41 leopards in just over 1300 acres of land, I,m looking for one or two in areas at least twice that size, and though many people doubt it  the things I,m finding indicate to me they are moving closer to the city,s in England and pets are becoming more regularly taken, we do have vet confirmed killings of dogs and a few good horse attacks also confirmed by vets, normally a sign of a young inexperienced animal as the horse is much to big to be taken but they do leave some nice rake marks down the flanks, black leopards make up around 75 percent of sightings as they were very popular as pets,15 puma and 5 percent lynx with a few oddity,s like jungle cats or hybrids making up the rest, I,ve never seen an image of a spotty leopard in England as blacks breed true to type seen a few very pixelated enlargements that people have claimed to be spotty ones but nothing that’s convinced me, back in the 70s/80s there was a wider variety but the three mentioned are all none specialising cats with a few things in common, very adaptable and very elusive being the main things, here’s a little bit of footage from the area in question

I spoke to a guy recently who told me of lots of predation on goat herds by snow leopards in certain valleys.Dogs are a favoured prey in many parts of the world as they are so easy.

I believe there was a family of leopards living under a football stadium somewhere, think Johannesburg but not a 100 percent, anyway they were living in the centre of a town totally unnoticed by the residents and when they were found there were apparently the remains of over a hundred dogs that they had been feeding on, massively elusive predators ??
