mark williams 7,549
Took my GSP and 12`s for a long walk across the fields of my 2nd permission today. Kaiser, my GSP worked hard and long, finding a covey of Grey Partridge ( 14) and lifted a very large Hare. I`m not shooting any game whatsoever on my permissions. Game numbers are increasing slowly as i take every opportunity to shoot any corvids or grey squirrels. Here`s his Lordship this morning catching an enforced breather ( i was goosed ) atb Mark. 5 Quote Link to post

andyf 144
Well done for leaving them, those Grey's are precious. I have a 'very' few on ground I shoot, they used to be shoot-ably prolific back in the 1970's and even then we restricted our take to a brace apiece, these days if there are two feeble coveys were in luck? Next door reared and released a decent amount of Redleg's for a few years, when they were 'fashionable' so, we got a bit of overspill and shot some especially after Christmas when they were dispersed, but I noticed they soon disappeared and as far as I can see never wild bred. Nicest eating gamebird in my opinion. AndyF Quote Link to post
