I would totally agree with this , have seen plenty cracking pointers and some stunning working labs. I think even with a good working strain of lab in a lurcher cross you'd still get too many heavy pu

Proper, old school, mouching dogs, I like them well enough ?

The Lab x collie grey I mentioned I grew up with. She knew more about the game than me at the time.

Every post regarding Lab Lurchers are dogs from the past, all positive though so why doesn’t anyone work them now?  Not at all knocking them just interested.

Maybe like the German sherpard cross that's been talked about  fashion

I love the sound of this cross and really think they would bring something to the the Lurcher world but for some reason they just haven’t took off. Probably the same reason as the German Shepherd based Lurchers, probably don’t just cut it in the looks department.

Not many folks wi good working labs want to line them wi grey or lurchers I reckon

No money in it

To some degree I think your right, there will definitely be some snobbery involved. But there has been people offering the use of able stud dogs on this forum but to my knowledge nobody’s taken them on.

That’s a good point Bill, but they have never really been a popular cross.

Quaint reason possibly that nwas not that many labs in working mans households ,only recent history they become popular one a those drakes head on a lurcher could get yas one hell of a jukel  but how many handlers out there want jukels that type these days not many,I believe has lurcher folk get older the chance of the revival of the base jukel with a touch of hound will once again become more popular.i won't have nothing else the more ta the base the better I give fabulous running types has gifts ta folk I have no interest in grafting the speedster myself I prefer a more sedate steady very steady type from a welp.atb bill feck the wiz bangers.atb bill
