I was just wondering if you put a big Irish grey to a wheaton bitch would it deal with birthing the pups OK or would it be better putting a wheaton dog to grey bitch.as I've only ever bred terrier to terrier and seen them struggle with the odd big pup I was just wondering cheers

Bitches in general control the size of pups at birth rather then the size of the sire..

Cheers for that I wasn't sure to be honest I've never been a breeder or looked into it that much as I've only ever bred terrier to terrier and only a few litters and always had lads to help with the know how

It was the fact he said all wheaten crosses don’t change grip which is bollox, and that bull crosses always do which is also bollox and I’ve seen enough of these one grip dogs on fox to know they are as useful as a chocolate fire guard, I want my dog to kill its fox not feckin wrestle with it.

Spot on dogmandont, who wants to see a dummy try kill a fox by its back leg or ass, that hasn’t the brains to change to a better more efficient hold
