Rebel 831
I just noticed this on my Barbour jacket today. It looks like a rip but I dont wear it hunting and it doesn't get any hardship. Any idea what caused it? Is it just wear and tear, could it be moths? Any chance it be repaired? Thanks for your help. Deker 3,453
Over what period has this happened? You had a row with the misses?? That's serious damage, could potentially have been deliberate! Funny moth doing that. Just possible mice or rats but...……..

low plains drifter 9,463
Send it to the Barbour factory, they'll repair the shit out of it, and do any alterations you might want
Deker 3,453
Oh yes, and there are not many things that can't be repaired..at a cost, but I wouldn't look at that option, or even investing in a new one until you find out what caused the problem!
Meece 1,957
Wouldnt think that moth would eat waxed cotton. Looks more like a barbed wire rip. Battery acid possibly. Cost of Barbour repair ?
Rebel 831
Thanks for the replies lads. I had it on yesterday and didn't notice anything. I only coped it today, maybe I caught it in something, but never felt a snag or heard a rip. I'll have to get out the needle and thread Thanks

Brushed up against one ?
Greyman 25,258
I can remember cutting the bottoms off of plastic containers to put in my pockets for my battery,s used to be a lady,s hand bag from the charity shop with the bottom half of a gallon container inside when battery,s were bigger, going down to 4pinters in the pocket as the battery,s got smaller

Looking at the pictures it could be the sheer weight of his wallet that's caused the pocket to detach itself from the jacket
