jiggy 3,207
I always find they return to vehicle if not injured but have found them after rewalking same ground the next day and giving a few hollers. If it's stormy they will lie up in a dry spot near earth that they drop in. My fathers bitch injured her toe from a fox bite and laid up and I spent 36 hours searching before I found her. Her kennel mate wouldn't leave her and She was too heavy for me to carry 2 miles across bad ground but her mate kept going back and nuzzling her and encouraged her to walk home and spent full night with her when she could of easily found her own way home. Bitch died since from brain tumour but I don't think I've ever seen that loyalty that her kennel mate showed during a hurricane. 6 Quote Link to post
